“These three pieces in pastiche style were written for the Italian organist Alessandro Bianchi, who as well as being a very fine player, is also a man of considerable humour. It was in the spirit of amusement that Richard Francis wrote these three pieces between 1999 and 2003.
These pieces should be played with an appropriate sense of fun, and if they occasionally produce a giggle or two from the audience then they almost certainly will have made their mark.
The cover drawings (for all three pieces) were created by Nicola Haigh, who is Head of Art at Moor Park School, Ludlow, Shropshire UK.
